The Levant is an ancient region on the eastern corner of the Mediterranean Sea boasting a wide palate of flavours from the following countries; Turkey, Greece, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Cyprus, Jordan and Syria.
 
Harissa in arabic translates to 'crushed/mashed' - alluding to the ancient cooking technique. This is exactly how we make this paste. It is hand blended; crushed, mashed and blended in a mortar and pestle to really bring out flavour.
